Monteverde USA Super Mega Abalone Collection Limited Edition features the highly iridescent inner nacre layer of authentic abalone shell from New Zealand. The shell of abalone, traditionally, has been used as a decorative item in jewelry, buttons, and as an inlay in furniture and musical instruments. The inner shell of the abalone is a swirl of intense colors, ranging from deep cobalt blue and peacock green to purples, creams, and pinks. Hand-turned and hand-polished, the barrel brilliantly reflects shimmering light off its surface, enhancing the stunning colors of the Abalone shell. Two trim options are offered to complement a gorgeous abalone shell body -rose gold and gunmetal. Each trim enhances the abalone colors and outlines the elegant shape of each writing instrument. Monteverde USA Super Mega Abalone Limited Edition Collection offers two modes: Fountain pen and Rollerball. The fountain pen is equipped with a stainless steel #6 JoWo nib engraved with the Monteverde USA logo and fills via standard cartridge or converter (both included). The nib is available in Extra Fine, Fine, Medium, Broad, 1.1mm Stub and Omniflex point size; 14KT Gold nib is available in Omniflex size. The capped rollerball accepts standard international rollerball refills (Monteverde® G2 and W2 rollerball refills). Each pen comes in a beautiful luxury green gift box with a custom designed sleeve.
